1. FORM CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR TEAM MEMBERS

It is important to form close relationships with your team members so everything can run smoothly and so you can have a team of strong hard working individuals. In order to form a relationship with them outside of just being their president, hang out with them while your on campus. Try to grab a snack or lunch together, go workout at the gym, play a game that you both enjoy on the campus game room, and etc. You can even hang out off campus if you like. Whatever you do, just make sure you get a nice bonding experience with them.

2. SET UP RULES AND  PROCEDURES FOR THE CLUB
In order for a club to function, you need to set up rules. Now if you are a widely well known club, but work under someone like in Her Campus we have a boss that is in charge of every chapter through the state, they set up the major club rules. It is your responsibility to enforce the rules, not like a mean person, or b**** but in a way that the members know what is expected of them, plus the consequences of not contributing and etc.

3. MAKE SURE YOU SET UP AGENDAS FOR MEETINGS
When your club has a meeting, whether that is weekly, or monthly, make sure that you have an agenda so everyone in the organization will know which topics will be covered in the next meeting. It is also a great way for the president to be organized as well so that way he or she will not go crazy trying to figure out what needs to be discussed, or so you won't leave out IMPORTANT DETAILS!

4. PLAN EVENTS TOGETHER

While being in a club you want to make sure that you have events planned that will get you noticed on campus and that are great stress relievers. When your team brainstorms on having events, make sure that you choose a list of some that are easy to throw together and that each member contributes something to it. It will save you a lot of hassle when it comes to running around to buy things for the event.

5. BE AN OPEN EAR
It is important to listen to your team members not just when it comes to club things, but if they need a friend to talk about personal issues they may be facing whether at home, in a relationship, and etc. They will look up to you in a highly manner if you are there for them!

6. HAVE A BRIGHT PERSONALITY
As a president you need to be serious, but also be a fun person to be around. Make jokes when you are around your team members, sing songs with them, prank them, just be a joy ball!

7. HAVE TEAM MEMBER EVENTS
School events are fun, but team member events are great too. Try and have spa days with your team, luncheons, cocktail parties, and etc. They will be more then happy to participate in them and they will thank you for it!

8. IF YOU ARE A PUBLICATION, HELP YOUR MEMBERS INCREASE THEIR SKILLS IN WRITING
If you notice that some of your team members are having some difficulty with writing an article, help them. Don't just correct their problem through the editing process. Give them helpful critique.

9. BE HONEST
It is important to be honest with your team members. If there is catty drama going on with some of your team members let everyone know, and take the appropriate measures to fix the problem. If you need to remove the team members causing the issues then do so. The last thing you want is your team to feel uncomfortable being around each other.

10. TELL YOUR TEAM HOW MUCH YOU APPRECIATE AND CARE FOR THEM
When your team is continuing to be successful and standing on its own two feet, tell your team how much you appreciate their hard work and passion for the club. If you bonded with them and care for them, let them know that. It's a heart warming feeling!

Follow these steps and you will be the best leader out there!
